7:30-8:00                      Breakfast

8:00-9:00                      Child-initiated activities

* A variety of toys and games are offered for the children to choose from.

9:00-9:20                     Group time

* Children sing songs, group games, movement activities to a variety of music.  Discuss the weather, calendar, weekly theme, letter and color of the week.

9:20-9:45                      Small Group Activities

* Planned Art/Hands-On learning activities.  Children participate in art projects, writing, practicing counting, language skills, and math or science projects.

9:45-10:30                    Outside activities (weather permitting)

*Children focus on large muscle and social skills.  The concept of "taking turns" is practiced.  Creative Movement/Group Games are also played.

10:30-11:00                  Child-initiated activities

* A variety of toys are offered for the children to choose from.  They may watch television for part of this time while I prepare lunch.

11:00-11:30                  Lunch

11:30-12:00                  Clean-up/ prepare for naptime

*Children set out their own nap mats and blankets.  They also have a bathroom break and clean up before naptime.

12:00-12:15                  Story time

*Children take turns choosing stories from the bookshelf that they wish to have read to the group.

12:30-3:00                    Nap/quiet time

3:00-3:30                      Snack time

3:30-5:30                      Outside Activities or child-initiated activities until departure

*Children play either outside or inside until their parents arrive.

This schedule may change due to the needs of the children, as well as special occasions such as a holiday week, birthday or special event.  However, this will be followed as closely as possible so that the children can get used to a daily routine.
